July 2019: Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences hosted the 8th Didaktik-Forum with speakers from Prime Networking institutions

The closing note of the Vice President for Teaching and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rolf Socher, consisted of two words: Thank you! An expression of gratitude to those who had vividly participated in the conference despite hot summer temperatures – as speakers or being actively involved in exciting discussions or in the organisation of this conference about “Motivating & Teaching diverse study groups – Sharing teaching experience”. Since 2012 the “Didaktik-Forum” has been an annual event for didactical exchange amongst lecturers at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences were new teaching approaches and experiences are discussed. Since 2016 several lecturers from Prime Networking partner institutions have participated in the forum adding a valuable international perspective on teaching. This year ten hands-on-experiences from Austria, Spain and Latvia as well as from the hosting institution were presented, including several good practises of project- or problem-based learning, often carried out in an international context. Whether the topic was about constructive alignment, flipped classroom experiences or, amongst others, how to integrate interactive teaching methods in Engineering studies - the teaching examples shown stimulated lively discussions. Particularly this balance between input and exchange has turned the Didaktik-Forum into a special small-scale conference which once again offered the opportunity to think "out of the box" and to joyfully widen one´s own teaching horizon.
